Why students choose Papero

  • It works inside your paper Papero follows your outline and section prompts and suggests the next sentence as you type, so you write in the document, not in a chat window.
  • Citations from real records Citations come from scholarly records you choose: OpenAlex search, a DOI, PMID, arXiv ID or ISBN, or your library, never from a model's memory.
  • A reference list in your style APA 7, MLA 9, Chicago author-date, Harvard or IEEE, with in-text citations and a reference list that updates as you cite.
  • Six checks before you submit A source check that flags retracted papers and preprints, proofreading, claims that need a citation, an AI reviewer's report, a tone rewrite, and on Plus a citation report that checks each cited sentence against its sources.
  • Private by default Your documents are never used to train AI models, with no setting to find.

Best for
Any paper with a reference list.

Long papers and thesis chapters.

Want a review before you submit

The problem
Sources and claims are easy to miss in your own draft.

The week before a deadline.
